The NATA Legal Paternity Test stands as the recommended option for individuals obligated to submit evidence to an Australian government department. In legal contexts, such as court proceedings, a strict standard of DNA testing is upheld and a series of careful regulations must be followed. Notably, numerous Australian government bodies mandate accreditation from the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) for DNA testing. This accreditation becomes necessary particularly when testing minors, as required in family court proceedings, matters of child maintenance, amendments to birth certificates, and immigration affairs pertaining to underage children.
Mobile Drug & DNA has streamlined the DNA test process:
Order your test online.
Complete payment.
We will send you all paperwork via email and you will be required to provide two passport-sized photographs for each individual undergoing testing. These images need not be official passport photos but should adhere to passport size specifications. It’s essential that the facial features are distinctly visible and that the photos are of high-quality colour.
Schedule an appointment with your designated GP or a registered nurse for the collection of your DNA samples. Your sampler will be responsible for collecting the samples and you will need to provide their details to us so that the collection kit can be sent directly to them.
Arrange an appointment with a Justice of the Peace (JP) before your scheduled sample collection appointment. The JP will be responsible for witnessing your affidavit.
Ensure that you bring all necessary documents to your sample collection appointment, including the collection form, signed affidavit, and the parentage testing information sheet. Your GP or nurse will then return all paperwork and samples directly to us.
Await a quick turnaround of results once we receive your samples.
